DO REPUBLICAN SENATORS HAVE THE BALLS TO PREVENT A RECESS SESSIONS FIRING AND APPOINTMENT OF A NEW AG?
THEY HAVE THE POWER TO PREVENT TRUMP'S NEFARIOUS ACTIONS. WILL THEY USE IT?
The Senate can go home for the summer but not formally "recess" which would basically leave the Senate open for business even if there's no one there. Such an action would prevent Trump from replacing Sessions and nominating a new Attorney General who would take up the position as the Acting AG. But there is nothing to prevent the Acting Attorney General from firing Robert Mueller. It seems that House and Senate Republicans are becoming a tad more disenchanted with Trump's chaotic rule but we'll see how they handle this potential Trump end run even though many in Congress have defended Jeff Sessions. Here's what Bill Kristol had to say about this issue on Twitter:
Remember when Obama was in office and the Republicans vowed that when they were in the majority in Congress they would show the country how to really govern? Well they've got both houses of Congress and the Presidency and they can't govern themselves out of a ball of warm spit!
Have a Great Day!!!
