Now, I’m not sure who The Donald might have been playing so far this past year and a half, but now that he’s freed himself from the chains of the Republican Establishment, RINO’s let’s call them, I, for one, am awaiting the new Donald as we roll through the next three weeks or so until November 8th.  And, of course, his supporters, The Trumpettes, must be thrilled!  After all they’ve been waiting for him to unleash his true character, take on all those idiot, do-nothing, Paul Ryan types who don’t have the balls to scrap Obamacare, or defund Planned Parenthood, shut down the Federal Government over every budget deal, and can’t seem to understand that America needs a tough, strong, honest, tellin’ it like it is Big Man as Dictator-In-Chief President of the United States.  Well, The Donald has taken off the gloves, thrown down the gauntlet and has begun attacking Bill Clinton for his pederast ways and has begun sliming Hillary for being Bill’s Enabler-In-Chief!  They – The Trumpettes - are thrilled!

The Bill Cosby style saga of women emerging in droves from the woodwork to testify that he’s groped their pussies?  ALL LIES!  ALL FICTION!  ALL MADE UP! screams Trump.  It’s the FUCKING LIBERAL MEDIA!  THAT FAGGOT ANDERSON COOPER! HILLARY CLINTON’s BEHIND IT ALL! scream The Trumpettes.  Trump and his Trumpettes are all fired up and are going to take on the whole world (except Russia, of course) and show us Commie Liberal Intellectual Effete Traitorous Drecks of Humanity just who’s in charge in Amerika.  And it ain’t Paul Ryan and all those other pusssy-footed RINO Republicans who are standing in their way, blocking the Trump Revolution and preventing the crowning of Donald Trump as The Only Man Who Can Save America!!!

It’s all just so embarrassing.  Thanks conservatives for this world class asshole you’ve managed to foist upon the rest of us.  Jesus!  What the hell am I going to say to all my friends in India and Mexico after this?   America just had a slight, nationwide mental breakdown? A short national psychotic episode?  A pandemic of bi-polar disease breaking out across the nation?  But here’s the real deal folks.  We have exactly 24 days until November 8th to get through.  How?  God only knows?  As I warned you a couple of days ago, keep a pile of Hefty Trash bags – the 40 gallon size – by your side at all times!  We are about to be dragged through the most vile, vicious, shitstorm of a political campaign in the entire history of the American Experience!

And it’s already begun.  Trump has called the allegations of sexual improprieties lobbed against him as pure “fiction, made up, conspiracies, not a shred of truth to them.”  (Does this sound just a tad like Bill Cosby defense?) As one Trumpette confidently expounded to a reporter at the Wikes-Barre Trump rally, “All that Locker Room talk?  It’s irrelevant to the campaign.”  The women who’ve come forward to testify that it wasn’t just words Trump was talking about when he proclaimed that he could grab any woman’s pussy he wanted to at anytime, anywhere in the world.  Well, Corey Lewandowski in one of his most stellar of CNN Political Panel appearances the other night, proclaimed that “It’s All Hillary’s Fault!”  I fully expect to hear in a day or two Trump proclaim that it was Evil Hillary herself who paid for Jessica Leed’s airline ticket and chose the seat next to Trump now that she has alleged that Trump groped her on some flight 20 years ago.    Here’s what a Trump spokesperson had to say about the incident:

"This entire article is fiction, and for the New York Times to launch a completely false, coordinated character assassination against Mr. Trump on a topic like this is dangerous. To reach back decades in an attempt to smear Mr. Trump trivializes sexual assault, and it sets a new low for where the media is willing to go in its efforts to determine this election.

"It is absurd to think that one of the most recognizable business leaders on the planet with a strong record of empowering women in his companies would do the things alleged in this story, and for this to only become public decades later in the final month of a campaign for president should say it all.

"Further, the Times story buries the pro-Clinton financial and social media activity on behalf of Hillary Clinton's candidacy, reinforcing that this truly is nothing more than a political attack. This is a sad day for the Times."

Well there you have it!  The ironclad, rational, reasonable explanation.  Forget that the NYT reporters have said that they not only verified the two woman’s claims, they also verified the claims that they told friends, sisters and husbands about the incidents when they occurred.

In addition to Jessica Leeds, here are the other women in the list (so far!) of The Don’s conquests:

Ivana Trump, Jill Harth, Temple Taggert, Mindy McGillvray, Rachel Crooks, Natasha Stoynoff, Cassandra Searles, and a couple of unnamed women.  I mean it’s quite an impressive list and don’t forget we’ve got another 24 days to go!

It will be very interesting over the next few days to see how Corey Lewandowski, Katrina Pierson and Steve Bannon are going to explain all these women coming out of the woodwork.  I suspect that the “Hillary Did It!” explanation just might not cut it, even though this is about the only thing they can use, save a total Trump brain meltdown.

Sadly, this is where we are.  If you would prefer that Trump withdraw from the race and I suspect there might be many cries for him to do just this, here’s my thoughts: 1) Trump is unlikely to do this since this would represent “failure” and he doesn’t take kindly to “failure.”  He’s NEVER failed. 2) This is the candidate that Republicans have presented to us as their Top Of The Line candidate for the Office of the President of the United States of America and we should not let them off the hook.  They richly deserve him.  3) Maybe this is the only way that we, the rest of us, can wrest both the Senate and the House of Representatives away from the Republican assholes who gave us Trump in the first place.

Apparently Trump and his campaign staff are tripling down on the Bill Clinton as a sexual predator theme and blaming Hillary for it in order to attract Millennial voters.

What the Trump men are doing is trying to blame Clinton for the indiscretions of her husband. They claim that she was essentially just as bad as he was, arguing that she helped him go after the victims and cover up what he did ― which includes an alleged rape.”

But it’s not the first time that this strategy has been attempted.  Rudy Giuliani tried it.

When former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani (R) was considering a Senate run in 2000, he convened a focus group to test out prospective attacks. One of them was bringing up Bill Clinton’s infidelities. Voters reacted extremely negatively to them, making Hillary Clinton appear more likable and sympathetic

Trump, of course, doesn’t believe in non-rigged focus groups nor does he seem to believe in taking advice from others.  In fact, Trump and his folks blaming the Clintons is a sure fire hit for his conspiracy theory driven Trumpettes.  But most folks are quite aware that it’s not Bill Clinton who’s running for President and blaming Hillary for Bill’s sexual infidelities puts every women who’s ever been lied to by her husband about an extramarital affair in deep disgust mode.  It just isn’t going to work.  Well, yes, it’s going to work with the Trumpette cult, but not for the rest of the nation.

“How,” one might ask – could anyone vote for Donald Trump?” now that five women, - wait, six – have come forward under very difficult personal circumstances (female accusers alleging sexual improprieties are almost never believed) and accused him of the kind of actions that had they happened to my daughter, would have caused me to physically go after the guy?  This is a critical question and the answer to it is the one reason that the rest of us must vote this November 8th and must vote Democratic.

From the very start of Trump’s “Presidential Campaign” (now an oxymoron if there ever was one) - the Mexican Government is sending rapists, drug thugs across the border; Muslims should be rounded up; Clinton and Obama gave birth to ISIS – by continually offering untruthful themes, facts, and theories, has shown his abject disdain for not only American values and the truth, but the American public itself.

Trump and his followers are conspiracy lovers.  Even now Trump is alleging a world wide conspiracy not only over the six women’s allegations but over the Presidential Election.  And, you also might ask, “Who the fuck cares that Donald thinks the entire planet is out to get him?”  Here’s why.  His followers, the Trumpettes, still believe that Obama was not born in America, is a secret Muslim, Hillary Clinton freed the rapist of a 12 year old girl,  - name any conspiracy theory and they believe it.  Trump’s latest “charge” that Hillary Clinton got the rapist of a 12 year old girl freed, while totally false and proven factually wrong dozens of times (including just now on this morning’s news), once again demonstrates his utter disdain for not only facts, data and truth, but for all Americans as well, to say nothing of his disdain for the Constitution that he has demonstrated on numerous occasions.    The up side of all of this, is that as Trump unearths unsupported charge after false charge against Hillary Clinton, the press now (after a year and a half) feels obligated to refute his baseless claims and has been doing so now with daily regularity.  No, this belated effort is not going to change the Clinton-haters minds nor the cult minds of the Trumpettes, but there is a certain satisfaction in the press revealing all these theories and lies for the bullshit they are and finally doing their jobs.

But the essential problem here is that you cannot counter deeply held conspiracy beliefs (much like Hobby Lobby’s “deeply held religious beliefs”) through rationality, by logic, by facts and with supportable information.  It simply does not shake their blind confidence and unending faith that all these conspiracies are true and all acts to undermine them are conspiratorial themselves in some sort of weirdly perfect and unbreakable circular logic.  No matter how many women come forward, no matter how many times Trump will dishonor America, no matter how many conspiracy theories Trump himself spins as excuses for his own failings, they will still vote for him.

We are not out of the woods yet, folks.

NOTE:  And here's something that we don't see covered all that much anymore.  This video will give you a glimpse into the hearts and minds of Trump supporters.  It's why The Donald is a danger to us all.  But after all, this is just "Locker Room Talk," right?
