ROBERT F. KENNEDY: HOW MUCH WE NEED HIM TODAY

ROBERT F. KENNEDY'S SPEECH IN CLEVELAND ON APRIL 5, 1968 AFTER THE ASSASSINATION OF DR. MARTIN LUTHER KING, JR. THE DAY BEFORE

AND JUST TWO MONTHS PRIOR TO KENNEDY'S ASSASSINATION IN LOS ANGELES AT THE HANDS OF SIRHAN SIRHAN IN THE MIDST OF HIS PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN.

I OFTEN ASK MYSELF HOW IT IS THAT HE AND HIS BROTHER, PRESIDENT JOHN KENNEDY, HAD SUCH GRACE, ELOQUENCE AND FACILITY FOR MOVING PEOPLE TO TEARS JUST BY SPEAKING.

We have such a long way to go. We have lost so much to violence.
