HOW COME RUSSIAN HACKERS ARE SUDDENLY EVERYWHERE?

Image
SO NOW WE HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT RUSSIA FUCKING UP OUR ELECTIONS IN ADDITION TO THE REPUBLICANS?
Okay, okay, I get.No one has actually “proven” that it’s Russia behind the hacks of the DNC and now state election registration systems data, but I’m going to go with the FBI’s assessment that the ultimate source is Russia connected.  Probably.  Most likely.  Pretty sure.  So somebody prove me – and the FBI – wrong. But the kicker in all of this hacking crap is the latest revelations that it’s not only that data is stolen (including credit card and Social Security numbers – thanks a bunch Julian!) but that stolen documents are doctored and then released to the media containing false information even though it looks, and is passed on as, authentic. It’s sort of like the Planned Parenthood videos manipulated by the Center for Medial Progress to make it look as if PP was selling baby parts for profit.(A couple of court cases have totally debunked this. Then too so did a Congressional Hearing but …

ONE MORE REPUBLICAN VOTER FRAUD EFFORT THAT TURNS OUT TO BE FAKE

Image
IF THE DONALD LOSES, IT WON’T BE FOR LACK OF REPUBLICAN EFFORTS TO DISENFRANCHISE EVEN MORE DEMOCRATS

We are all aware of Red State Voter ID legislation – to prevent the kind of voter fraud that happens when someone shows up at their polling place pretending to be someone else which never happens – and some of us are aware of REDMAP the Republican redistricting/gerrymandering campaign to create “Forever Red Congressional Districts.”But guess what?Republicans have so alienated all but white males across the country they’re embarking – have embarked – on another voter disenfranchisement drive since they simply cannot win honestly, you know, by counting up the number of votes of people who actually voted Republican.
The newest effort to combat fraud that doesn’t exist is called the “Interstate Voter Registration Crosscheck Program” designed to purge voter rolls of folks who are registered in more than one state, who haven’t voted in years or folks who have doubled voted from separate add…

Here’s How Trump Got the AP Story on Clinton Foundation Donors All Wrong

The Washington Post

August 25, 2016

“Hillary Clinton ran the State Department like a failed leader in a third-world country. … Now, it looks like it’s 50 percent of the people that saw her had to make contributions to the Clinton Foundation.” — Donald Trump, rally in Tampa, Aug. 24, 2016 Hillary Clinton’s critics jumped on an Aug. 23 Associated Press analysis of her meetings with Clinton Foundation donors while secretary of state. Trump, as did many others, relayed the findings of the AP analysis using misleading language that appeared in a promotional tweet that was retweeted or liked more than 10,000 times. We are not going to award Pinocchios to this specific claim. Instead, we will set the record straight and recap what was reported in the initial story, the Clinton campaign’s criticism of the coverage and the AP’s defense. The Facts On Aug. 23, the AP Twitter account carried this language as a breaki…

ANOTHER "MAKING A MURDERER" UPDATE: WAS STEVEN AVERY FRAMED TWICE BY MINNESOTA'S POLICE AND JUSTICE SYSTEM?

'Making a Murderer': New Filing Details How Steven Avery Was Framed

NOTE: For those of us who were dedicated Netflix "Making A Murderer" documentary watchers, we all knew that the conviction of Brendan Dassey was about as rational as Donald Trump building a wall at our Mexican border and having Mexico pay for it.  With the overturning of Dassey's conviction, the immediate question was: "Well what about Steven Avery's conviction since it was Brendan's testimony that basically convicted Avery, at least in the minds of the jury if not with us viewers.  Sure, there was tons of "evidence," all circumstantial and much of it sketchy at best, but somehow the prosecution's narrative didn't seem to add up.  So is it possible that  Steven Avery has been railroaded by Manitowoc County authorities for a second time?  Seems impossible doesn't it that some guy could be wrongfully convicted of crimes he didn't commit (rape and attempted murd…

WHY PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY AND INDIVIDUAL INITIATIVE JUST CAN’T HACK IT

Just ran across a scene from David Wojnarowicz’s “7 Miles a Second” his graphic cult novel about his childhood of prostitution, ["7 MILES A SECOND" ] where a John makes him watch a couple having sex next door. When finished, the woman turns towards the peephole and David sees that she has unhealed knife wounds on her torso.“What really twisted my brain,” the young David says, “was how that guy could fuck that woman” – a hooker he recognized from outside the Port Authority terminal – “with those fresh wound staring him in the fact!Like he couldn’t conceive of pain attached to the body he was fucking.’
At whatever age David was when this horrific incident occurred, his youthful response was sympathetic to the woman’s plight irrespective of her profession or physical attributes, even though he had no prior similar experience. In shorthand, this is what’s called “empathy” the ability to feel someone else’s …
