SO WHAT HAPPENS WHEN REPUBLICAN HOUSE MEMBERS BREAK THE LAW?

WHEN IT'S THE IDENTITY OF PLANNED PARENTHOOD PROVIDERS, WHY NOTHING AT ALL!
ROBERT DEAR, COLORADO SPRINGS PALNNED PARENTHOOD KILLER

It’s amazing how many times the “party of life” has claimed that title by putting lives in danger. In this case, “leaking” may not be the right word. Leaking implies that the information was slipped out to only a few people. What Republicans are doing is more like spewing.
… Democrats are calling out Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) for her “reckless disregard” for the privacy and safety of those medical professionals — following the public, unredacted release of the some of their names. …
Last week, Blackburn sent two public letters to the Obama administration that contained the unredacted names and contact information of researchers at the biomedical company StemExpress, university and hospital researchers, and Planned Parenthood staffers. The unredacted letters were also posted on the select panel's website. In an interview with Rewire, a representative for Blackburn said that the release was staff error.
Blackburn’s leak—sorry LEAK—included the name of a doctor who had already been threatened by anti-abortion groups and details about when and where that doctor was supposed to appear to give testimony. She sent the letters and then, just in case you missed it, the letters were also posted on the committee site. Democrats likened it to “painting a target on the back of scientists and researchers.” But really, it was more like staking them out and sounding a horn.

This isn’t the first time this committee has proven to be somewhat less than secure.
“This Panel has shown a reckless disregard for protecting private information and now a troubling possibility has come to light,” Ranking Member Jan Schakowsky said in a press statement. “Inexplicably, anti-abortion activists have learned of confidential information provided to the Panel — raising the specter that the Republicans may be funneling confidential information back to those individuals and groups.”
Despite having the security of a screen door the committee is going ahead with a new flurry of subpoenas, pulling in long lists of workers associated with Planned Parenthood even when they have no relation to any issue under investigation.
Nonetheless, the committee is moving forward with more subpoenas to health care providers, researchers, patients, and E.M.T first responders -- without asking for voluntary compliance first. In an op-ed published Tuesday, Reps. Steny Hoyer and Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) call this a "particularly unique form of congressional harassment."
What does Marsha Blackburn call recklessly putting medical worker’s lives at risk? Campaigning.
House Democrats have repeatedly called for the investigation -- convened following allegations made in widely-debunked sting videos that Planned Parenthood illegal profits off fetal remains -- to be disbanded. Numerous state and federal investigations have cleared Planned Parenthood of wrongdoing, and lawmakers say that the committee is wasting millions of taxpayer dollars and valuable congressional time.
Expect that to happen about the time that Republicans conclude there was not an issue with Benghazi. In other words, after the election.

NOTE:  If I'm not mistaken, there is a United States law that prohibits the release of our medical information, although given that the Republicans have controlled both houses of Congress for a few years now, they might have repealed it in some obscure rider to a 3,000 page budget bill.  But, even if this is the case, do these "We The People" representatives - apparently of only the Tea Party and Radical Right Wingers  - have such short or perverted memories that they don't recall the murder of Doctors David Gunn, John Britton, Barnet Slepian, and George Tiller,  or abortion clinic staffers Shannon Lowney, Lee Ann Nichols, Robert Sanderson, or last year's shooting at the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood clinic that left three dead and several folks wounded?
Come on people.  This is not a joke.  Releasing the identities of these folks puts their very lives at risk.  We all know you are dead set on overturning Roe v. Wade, but until that glorious day could you act in a manner that doesn't endanger the lives of your fellow Americans even though they might be engaged in activities you don't like?  Is this really too much to ask?  If it is, then you have no right to represent insects in Congress much less human beings.
Remember folks, this entire monstrosity - the hearings, the grilling of Planned Parenthood, the fake charts, the Colorado Springs killing of three - are all as a result of doctored videos and nothing illegal that Planned Parenthood has done.

I certainly have no problem when individuals and organizations are legitimately called to task for breaking - even allegedly breaking - the law.  But there is no such law breaking here.  In fact, what Congress is doing is very akin to the tactics used in Nazi Germany to falsely malign and demonize Jews. Just sayin'.

God when are we going to free of these fools?
