Fox Business Guest Explodes: Obama 'Is Such A Total Pussy, It's Stunning'
He was later suspended from the cable network for two weeks.

NOTE:  I have posted this piece that appeared a year and a half ago, about how much we have not done after Paris and San Bernardino and why The Donald has risen to the Republican Presidential candidate.

Ralph Peters, a retired lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army and frequently angry and acerbic Fox guest, presented his usual demeanor again Monday during a live interview in which he called President Barack Obama a “total pussy.”

When Fox Business Network’s Stuart Varney of “Varney & Co.” asked about Obama’s Sunday night address on terrorism, Peters melted down.

Here’s one example – of thousands - of how the right wing media continues on its merry way to ensure that the large segment of Americans who can’t fathom any other diplomatic action other than “bomb them back to the Stone Age” remains totally ignorant, afraid and out the door to buy more guns at Wal-Mart.

"Well, first of all, he keeps speaking about 'we can't give into our fears.' You know, 'don't be afraid.' Look, Mr. President, we're not afraid. We're angry. We're pissed off. We're furious. We want to see you react. We want you to do something," Peters' tirade began.

"You're afraid. I mean, this guy is such a total pussy, it's stunning," Peters exploded.
"We the people, the American people, who he does not know in any intimate sort of manner. We want action. We want action against Islamic State and then when the president is telling us he is going to destroy ISIS," he continued. "This is a president who has done more harm to American police departments than he has done to Islamic State. This is a president who restrains our military. He uses it not to defeat ISIS, but for political purposes for political cover. This is a president who doesn't want to hurt our enemies, this is a president who cares more about thugs in Guantanamo or thugs in Ferguson, Missouri, than he does about law-abiding American citizens and their right to live in safety and peace.

This is what Fox and all the other brain-dead media pundits and their sponsoring outlets are experts at:  making sure that their uber-conservative political agenda gets plenty of airtime and continues to bamboozle the less thoughtful among us.  (I am loathe to estimate how many un-thoughtfuls there might be in America today.)  It has been 25 days since the Paris terrorist attacks in which 130 people died, 10 days since the November 27th Planned Parenthood terrorist attack, and only three days since the San Bernardino terrorist attacks, pretty much a hell of a lot to somehow react to much less figure out what to do to protect ourselves.

But Fox News and the right wingers are ready with a solution: MORE OBAMA BLAME COUPLED WITH MORE GUNS.

NOTE:  Right on Matt.

It is tempting to pass all of the anti-Obama rhetoric that’s spewing from the mouths of the conservative pundits as just so much more of the same “IT’S OBAMA’S FAULT” that we have been privy to ad nauseum for the past seven years if it weren’t all so tawdry, ill-conceived and counter productive under the circumstances.  The circumstances being that it appears that we here in the United States of America might just have our first example of ISIS inspired terrorism on our shores.  One would think that this would be a time for thoughtful discussion both about what caused Sayed Farook and wife Tashfeen Malik to find it necessary to slaughter 14 people and wound 21 more.

Me? I’m thinking, okay, so is there some way that we – the authorities, let’s say – could have known about the radicalization of this couple beforehand?  And, if so, was there something that could have been done to prevent it?  Or why were these two people able to get such deadly weapons in the first place?   Is there some means by which we can prevent assault weapons from getting into the hands of potential terrorists?  How was it that these two people become fodder for ISIS terrorist propaganda and could we learn something about the steps that led to their acting on behalf of this murderous organization?  Is there anything that the local San Bernardino authorities – or the California state authorities or the FBI or the ATF folks can learn about how to prevent such attacks?  How better to respond to such attacks as they occur?  Or maybe how can we as a nation better prepare ourselves and protect ourselves from similar such attacks in the future?

There are literally dozens of such questions that come to my mind that, if we actually took such questions to heart, might help to prevent such carnage in the future.

And in a fit of rational thought, President Obama exhorted us Americans not to give into fear, not to panic and to remain calm in the face of these latest atrocities as any President – like George Bush for example – might have done and, indeed, have done in the past.

But Fox News?  No way. Fox News isn’t interested in studying an issue or analyzing horrific events and isn’t remotely interested in figuring out how we can be better prepared to both prevent such attacks and better respond to future attacks.

Fox News isn’t interested in helping America address the problems we face.  They are only interested in pursuing their ultra-right wing partisan political agenda at all costs and to the continuing detriment to America.

And, then, of course, there is the ultimate question:  If Barack Obama had been White would we have been subjected to the same vicious commentary from Fox News?

Thank you Rupert Murdoch for bringing us such a wonderful font of vicarious terrorism.

Have a good day folks!!
