IT’S OFFICIAL: ROBERT DEAR EITHER “DID” OR “DID NOT” TARGET PLANNED PARENTHOOD

Now that we seem to have determined that Robert Dear was maybe targeting the Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado Springs, Colorado, after a couple of days of “confusion” “waiting until all the facts are known” and “let’s not rush to judgment here” finally it seems as if the mainstream media has – tentatively at least – landed on the sad story that Dear might have been, just maybe, who really knows? targeting Planned Parenthood and not the Citibank branch next door.  Look, I don’t mean to be difficult here, but I simply cannot fathom why it is that when some white guy shoots up a clinic or a church or a school, there seems to be an automatic “let’s not be harsh to judge here” ethic that is totally absent from similar events when it involves African Americans, Latinos and Muslims, for example.  The media doesn’t hesitate to label these other attacks as terrorist and in these cases seems to know within ten m…

EVER WONDER WHY IT IS THAT RED STATE FOLKS KEEP VOTING AGAINST THEIR OWN BEST INTERESTS?

HERE’S PROBABLY THE BEST EXPLANATION I’VE EVER READ

The Most Important Article You'll Read Today About The Democratic Party.
From the Daily Kos By Dartagnan Saturday Nov 21, 2015
Ever wonder why all those folks in rural, “red” America still vote in droves for the same Republicans who brag about gutting the very social programs keeping them alive?  How someone like Matt Bevin can run a winning campaign in Kentucky based on cutting people’s access to affordable health care? How Republican governors can get away with refusing free Medicaid for their own citizens?  Every election it seems that Democrats end up shaking their heads in dismay as yet another mean-spirited red-state Republican manages to defeat the Democrat by essentially promising to make his own constituents’ lives more miserable.  Afterwards we all intone the familiar refrain which boils down to “these people don’t know any better.”  If only the Democrats had a more effective “message” on the issues, we could surely reach th…

COLORADO SPRINGS PLANNED PARENTHOOD CLINIC DEATHS

ACTUALLY, THE MEDIA ISN'T SURE YET IF THE ABORTION CLINIC WAS THE TARGET

I’m well aware that the “jury is out” for the time being about the Colorado Springs shooter (terrorist) who held Planned Parenthood folks hostage and three people were killed including a police officer. So I won’t impugn the man’s motives just yet.Until all the facts are in.Maybe his Citibank Visa card was declined and he was actually targeting the Citibank branch next door. So, until some anti-abortion (“right-to-life”) post on his Facebook page is discovered by the authorities or they discover some pro-lifeTwitter tweets, I'll reserve judgement.  On the other hand, I have to ask what the media would be saying today if the guy had been Black and held a bunch of folks hostage at a local KKK meeting.Or if he had been a Muslim and all this had unrolled at a Christian church. But, never mind.
But we do know that since the doctored videos released by David Daleiden's fake organization, Center for Medical Progr…

OUR TAX DOLLARS AT WORK!!!!!

Time to Ground Congress
Dana Milbank Washington Post

House Republican leaders this month did something that should outrage Americans of all parties and creeds: They declared that the people’s representatives will be working only two days a week next year. The House will be in sessionjust 111 days in 2016. This means the chamber will be closed more weekdays (150) than open, and many of the 111 are partial days. That’s upward of 30 weeks of paid vacation for all 435 members of the House. Is it any wonder the House is not doing what the people want? Worse, American taxpayers are subsidizing members of Congress so that they can take more time off. Lawmakers have awarded themselves essentially unlimited travel budgets so they can spend more time at home. It began with good intentions years ago: Members of Congress, out of a desire to be in touch with their constituents, made sure they could travel home to their districts as often as they wished. But this has contributed to a culture in which l…
