ANOTHER IRS SCANDAL RIPS THROUGH WASHINGTON
MORE CRIMINAL ACTIVITY BY OBAMA, DOJ & FBI REVEALED
"The IRS scandal just got even worse"
NEW YORK POST HEADLINE
July 8, 2015
As an avid follower of the IRS “scandal” I happened across this short New York Post article raising new and even more scandalous charges against the Obama Administration. Now I’m not sure that the New York Post, a tabloid newspaper famous for it’s salacious, four-color, front page photos of big breasts (Kim Kardashian) and pop singers (Justin Bieber) is the most reliable source of hard news, but in order to be fair and balanced like all good liberals must be, let’s take a look at the article and see exactly what the deal is.
So the Obama IRS wasn’t just persecuting right-leaning nonprofits — it was out to prosecute them, too. And with the help of the Obama Department of Justice and FBI.
Via Freedom of Information Act lawsuits, the watchdog group Judicial Watch just got evidence of the plot. A “DOJ Recap” on an Oct. 8, 2010 meeting tells how officials from the three agencies discussed “several possible theories to bring criminal charges under FEC law” against groups “posing” as tax-exempt nonprofits.
As part of the project, the IRS handed the FBI 21 computer disks with 1.23 million pages of confidential IRS returns from 113,000 nonprofit 501(c)(4) groups — nearly every 501(c)(4). This, though federal law generally bans the IRS from sharing such data. (1)
The evidence shows “that the Obama IRS scandal is also an Obama DOJ and FBI scandal,” noted Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “The FBI and Justice Department worked with Lois Lerner and the IRS to concoct some reason to put President Obama’s opponents in jail before his re-election. (2) And this abuse resulted in the FBI’s illegally obtaining confidential taxpayer information.” (3)
The IRS scandal surfaced years ago — and for all the administration talk of a full investigation, this huge news is only surfacing now, and only thanks to Judicial Watch.
The news of FBI and Justice involvement in the IRS scandal makes the need for some special prosecutor to probe this mess even more obvious. (4)
After all, as Judicial Watch’s Fitton asks: “How can the Justice Department and the FBI investigate the very scandal in which they are implicated?”
First of all, let me give my personal gratitude to Judicial Watch and the New York Post for this informative, scandalous, BREAKING NEWS story. Without a doubt it is one of the most important developments in the entire three year history of the IRS’ criminal activities.
(1). Not to make a huge, cosmic deal about the IRS turning over data to the Department of Justice and the FBI, but in potential criminal investigations regarding whether or not charitable, tax exempt, organizations are abiding by IRS regulations, it’s my best guess that this is exactly what the IRS is supposed to do under such circumstance. Then again, maybe not. I don't know, was the IRS was supposed to turn over its files to the Donald Trump Miss Universe Judges Panel for further investigation?
(2). Never let it be said that Judicial Watch doesn’t engage in hyper-hyperbole and wild, unfounded accusations. I particularly admire the part where they accuse the IRS, DOJ and FBI of working hand in glove with Obama to jail his political enemies. This, of course, has been the overriding theme of the three year, multi-million dollar Congressional hearings and investigations into this "scandal" and yet those formal investigations have yielded not a shred of evidence that this is the case. Unlike, let’s say just for the fun of it, former President Richard Nixon who actually did use the IRS to go after his political enemies and was forced to resign the Presidency as a result.
(3). Again, not to make a huge, cosmic deal about the IRS turning over “confidential taxpayer information,” but the prohibition against the IRS sharing taxpayer information doesn’t apply when they are conducting investigations, potentially criminal ones, something the Post seems to have missed here. Would Judicial Watch be happier if the confidential taxpayer information had been turned over to Rush Limbaugh or Fox News or Matt Drudge for them to investigate? Probably.
(4). "Huge News?" Ummmm there have been so many “Huge News” revelations connected with the IRS “scandal” so as to make TMZ look like an impeccable news organization. And as for appointing a Special Prosecutor to get to the bottom of the IRS scandal (not unlike the Benghazi Scandal) well, Republicans now control both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate, i.e. both houses of Congress, so there’s nothing preventing them from doing just this. But you and I know that they won't.
So in the fast breaking news world of the epic IRS/Obama/FBI/DOJ scandal, I’m thinking that it would probably be of tremendous help if the entire matter were turned over to the ladies of The View for further public hearings, investigation and prosecution to FINALLY get to the bottom of this blot on America's shining "fair and balanced" traditions.
Have a good day!
